About Usability with SUS
SUS usability is a free app helps you perform system usability scale (SUS) tests on users. It not only gives the tests, stores the results it also computes the score.
The system usability scale (SUS) is a simple, ten-item attitude scale giving an overall view of subjective assessments of usability of an app. Developed by John Brooke at Digital Equipment Corporation in 1986 as a standard ISO tool to be used in usability engineering of systems such as websites,apps and software. SUS is a basic tool used by interaction designers around the world and
If you are a user experience expert, a user interface designer, an interaction developer, website or just an app developer you can use SUS tests as one of your basic tools to evaluate the effectiveness of your app,software or website. If you introduce new features and fix old bugs you can track if this has improved or decreased the usability using SUS.
This app can
- create new studies ( collection of questionnaire)
- create a new questionnaire for a new participant
- give the questionnaire
- Ask the standard 10 questions.
- calculate the average score for the study
- store the results on your iPhone
- copy the data and the results to the clipboard ( to be emailed)
- export the data to iTunes.

The app also contains info about SUS and a link to further information and user feedback. It's a free app, if successful and popular it will be upgraded and new features added.
